Response to a Pertinent Enquiry

This blog had its origin in an enquiry from someone signed Pg D.

The question he or she posed was: I don't think gay marriage is right...but are you saying that people that have same sex encounters are going to hell?

I replied with a tentative short answer and said I'd follow up with a more complete exploration of the subject.

So here then is my initial response to the enquiry.

As I say in my article on Gay Marriage - we go to whatever sphere we have fitted ourselves for - morally and spiritually. This holds for all of us - be we straight or gay oriented. Only God knows the state of one's soul.

As I understand it, the particular aspect relating to homosexual orientation has more to do with whether the soul is deemed strong enough and determined enough to want to change and so be allowed to re-incarnate. It is in this physical realm that is the testing ground. It's all about attaining wholeness at the soul level (spiritual evolution). And that's a tough row to hoe (and overcome) if homosexual orientation is a factor in the equation.

You have posed a valid question and it's a big one. I want to do justice by it. If you will bear with me, I will want to give it some more thought and in due course I will post a more complete explanation of it on my web site.

Thank you for asking. E.B.

P.S. I'd like to add a word of caution: Anything I say here is on the basis of the perspective of where I'm coming from. It should not be taken to be the be all and end all of the matter.

As a student of the Mysteries of Life, I have studied broadly and sought to ferret out the truth of life to the best of my ability and guidance. I suggest you take it as a hypothesis and evaluate it from the standpoint of your own experience and how it resonates with you. If it rings true to you, well and good; but if not, look on it as one individual's perspective of what he has found to be valid and true.

Here then is a fuller explanation of the question posed by Pg D:

'I don't think gay marriage is right...but are you saying that people that have same sex encounters are going to hell?'

To get a better handle on this subject, let us explore more fully the purpose of life on earth and other dimensions. Heaven and hell - do they actually exist? Are there really such spheres? Indeed there are, but not the fanciful imaginings and myths we've been brought up on - like streets of gold and playing harps etc. and conversely, notions of eternal hell fire and damnation and the like. There are indeed many levels (gradations) in both the heaven and astral/hell worlds. We are all functioning at different levels/states of consciousness - each with a specific vibratory frequency that is our soul's keynote. On passing, the soul gravitates to that sphere that is its corresponding frequency. It's all quite natural - scientific if you like.

It is in this context that we have to examine the phenomenon of homosexuality, as indeed all other aberrant aspects of the human condition that flesh is heir to. The whole point of existence is to achieve wholeness - spiritual and psychological wholeness at the soul level. In the case of homosexuality, it is a particularly difficult challenge because of the hold it has on their emotional/desire body. Homosexuality has its origin in the pleasure cult, where excessive sexual activity in the first instance leads to satiation as the norm, then goes on to other deviant forms of sexual behavior, that then eventuates in taking on a form and pattern (in their subtle bodies) as whatever sexual practices were most indulged in or lusted after. Hence the development of a sexual preference. The most egregious form being that of the pedophile. This is a most debilitating setback to the soul's spiritual evolution. The soul in its highest aspect is keenly aware of this and is desirous to be free of it, but the outer self, driven by its emotional/desire body is held captive in its grip.

This is not a particularly welcome commentary on their sexual orientation, nor will it be looked kindly upon by those who are into this lifestyle and concerned only with their own sensual pleasure. But the more sensitive - those more closely attuned to Spirit - will appreciate knowing about this hidden mystery of their homosexuality. Such a recognition is the first step in coming to terms with this life condition. To be brutally frank about it - there is no way to sugarcoat it - the plain truth is; these are rebellious souls who have not bent the knee (repented) and are rebellious still. By bringing this out into the open and giving it currency to the world at large - at this time - is a liberating force for those who are caught in this trap. It is human nature not to want to change their lifestyle, but change they must, if they are to go on to higher states of consciousness. Nor will it endear me to them by speaking out so plainly; it can't be helped - that's the way it is. Someday they will come to realize that by cluing them into this negative and unnatural state of being - which is a distraction and drain on their soul's true purpose - they will come to appreciate that I was a genuine friend to them. That I am paying them the supreme compliment of according them the dignity and maturity, that they are capable of handling the truth. Those of a spiritual bent are more likely to recognize the value of what I am saying here and open to want to undo what is a drag on their spiritual progression (with a view to begin the long trek back to achieving wholeness in this area of their life). I know if I were so afflicted, I would want to know about it so I could set about to correct the condition. As always, it's the truth that shall set us free.

Objectively speaking, this is the most compassionate service that can be rendered to the homosexual community from the standpoint of their long term best interests - even though now they may scoff, rail and resent it. All will come to it eventually; but it may take a long time and require some pretty hard knocks in the school of life to bring them to that point. But that's how we learn life's lessons. There is an axiom that says; most folks when they know better, tend to do better. (In this case it's not so simple, it's a tough nut to crack and easier said than done.) Albeit, where there is a will there is a way, and where there is a divine will, there is a glorious way. But it has to be pursued diligently and with fervor in terms of self discipline and seeking God's grace and guidance to help them overcome this affliction. It assumes one is mightily determined to be free and clear of it; for only at such a time of one's utmost resolve and striving - can they be helped. Man's extremity is God's opportunity.

I hope this has been of some help in illuminating this complex - and difficult to deal with - topic and its manifold ramifications.
